The search still continues to trace the suspect or suspects who are responsible for the rape and murder of 102-year-old-woman from the Bawa Location outside Butterworth that happened during the evening on July 2.
Speaking to the Express, police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa said that the search is still continuing.
Reporting on the incident, Mawisa said that according to information, it is alleged that the woman (102) was sleeping in a separate room and when her house was burglared and a forced entry was noticed through the window.
“On investigation on the morning of Thursday, July 3, her body was found with injuries on her upper body and died on the scene,” she added.
Mawisa stated that police are investigating cases of Murder, rape and burglary residential.
