In a bid to raise awareness about heart rhythm disorders and encourage early detection of cardiovascular risks, Crestcare St Mary’s is proud to participate in World Heart Rhythm Week by offering free health screenings and expert medical advice to the public.

The community-driven initiative will take place on Wednesday, 4 June, at the Mall of Mthatha, next to the Woolworths escalators, from 10:00 to 13:00.

Supporting heart health through early detection

Heart rhythm disorders, such as arrhythmias, often go undetected until they pose serious health risks.

By providing accessible health screenings, Crestcare St Mary’s aims to empower individuals with knowledge and preventative healthcare options.

The activation will feature:

  • Free Basic Health Screenings – including blood pressure and glucose testing checks, which serve as key indicators of cardiovascular health.
  • Expert Medical Advice – an experienced healthcare professional will be available on-site for a limited time to provide professional guidance, answer questions, and educate attendees about heart health management.
  • A commitment to community wellness
