\n Shell Museum<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Shell Museum, located in the centre of town, displays a huge collection of shells. This collection was started by Charlotte Kritzinger, a local shell collecting spinster in 1945, who pursued the hobby till her death in the late 1960s. The municipality bought the collection and opened the old Shell Museum in the library in the 1970s. In 1986 a curatrix was appointed and the collection received a further boost with the addition of 350 species of mostly deepwater and rare shells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n Surf Museum<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The need to create a surf mu-seum in Jeffreys Bay was for many reasons. Essentially, Jeffreys Bay is one of the top ten surfing destinations in the world, so a surf museum in this surf driven town is a must. The museum is also about remembering the history of surfing and paying tribute to the many surfing pioneers and le-gends that have developed the sport over a span of several years. This is not only about the people and personalities, but also about the evolution of the actual surfboard from wooden boards to the ultra light foam and glass fibre surfboards of today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learn to walk on water. It has never been easier for visitors to learn to surf. The Main Beach has the right kind of waves for beginner surfers. There are no rocks and there are decent sandbanks close to the shore, which means that beginners never have to venture deep out into the ocean to catch waves. It is rarely so flat in Jeffreys Bay that novice surfers cannot catch small foamies (broken waves), which is all you are after when starting off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n Supertubes Park<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Supertubes Park is home to the last section of undeve-loped sand dune in Jeffreys Bay. Visit the Supertubes Surfing Foundation Rescue Centre in the Park and learn about indigenous plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kabeljous Nature Reserve is a bird watchers\u2019 paradise and offers walking trails in secluded natural beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n Kabeljous River Waterfall<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Kabeljous River Waterfall is situated on the Ferreira\u2019s farm along the Kabeljous Ri-ver just outside Jeffreys Bay. There is also a zip line operational in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n Main Beach<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Main Beach, also known as Dolphin Beach, is one of the best swimming and beginner surf beaches in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
