{"id":57924,"date":"2018-06-28T06:03:25","date_gmt":"2018-06-28T04:03:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/kougaexpress\/tariefverhogings-20180627-2\/"},"modified":"2025-03-20T18:59:02","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T16:59:02","slug":"tariefverhogings-20180627-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/kougaexpress\/tariefverhogings-20180627-2\/","title":{"rendered":"TARIEFVERHOGINGS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>DIE Kouga-raad het die munisipaliteit se bedryfs- en kapitaalbegroting vir die nuwe boekjaar op 31 Mei goedgekeur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kouga-burgemeester Horatio Hendricks s\u00ea die raad wou \u2018n pro-arm begroting saamstel en dat goeie vordering in hierdie opsig gemaak is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die munisipaliteit se nuwe boekjaar begin op 1 Julie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <b>TARIEFVERHOGINGS<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eiendomsbelasting styg met 7,5% in die nuwe boekjaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die watertarief vermeerder met 11%, sanitasie met 9%, vullisverwydering met 8%, elektrisiteit gemiddeld 7,57% en die Omgewingsbestuurfooi (OBF) met 6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <b>BEDRYFSBEGROTING<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> Die totale bedryfsuitgawes vir 2018\/19 is R796,785 miljoen. Dit is \u2018n styging van 5,48% in vergelyking met die 2017\/18 wysigingsbegroting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Die totale bedryfsinkomste is R753,717 miljoen. Dit is \u2018n styging van 9,39% of R64,69 miljoen in vergelyking met die wysigingsbegroting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Die begroting word hoofsaaklik befonds uit dienste soos elektrisiteit, water, sanitasie, vullisverwydering en die OBF (53,04%), eiendomsbelasting (23,45%) en toelaes en subsidies van die provinsiale en nasionale regering (16,4%).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Die begroting maak voorsiening vir personeelkoste van R272,8 miljoen. Dit is 34,24% van van die totale bedryfsbegroting en binne die norm wat deur die Nasionale Tesourie gestel word.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Die herstel- en onderhoudsbegroting beloop R37 miljoen. Dit is 4,65% van die bedryfsbegroting. Alhoewel dit onder die raad se teiken van 8% is, sal die geld spandeer word waar dit die nodigste is. Ten minste 71% sal vir infrastruktuur gebruik word.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <b>BURGEMEESTER BESPAAR<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kouga-burgemeester Horatio Hendricks het belowe om streng hok te slaan teen onnodige uitgawes ten einde meer geld vir dienslewering beskikbaar te stel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Volgens die burgemeester, sal h yen die Speaker nie nuwe voertuie of drywers kry nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDie burgemeester sal sy eie motor bestuur en die Speaker sy eie motor. Daar sal ook nie betaal word vir lyfwagte nie,\u201d het hy in sy begrotingsrede ges\u00ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die getal lede op die burgemeesterskomitee is ook verminder vanaf ses na vyf ten einde koste te bespaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <b>RAAD WIL INKOMSTE GROEI<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Kouga-munisipaliteit beoog om allerlei we\u00eb te ondersoek om meer geld vir die opknap van infrastruktuur en uitbreiding van dienste in te win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Volgens Kouga-burgemeester, Horatio Hendricks, beplan die raad om munisipale grond te verkoop wat nie benodig word vir dienslewering nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018n Komitee is ook tot stand gebring wat weekliks ontmoet ten einde te identifiseer hoe die munisipaliteit se inkomste verhoog kan word sonder dat belastingbetalers verder
