THE No More Shame (NOMSA) Women\u2019s Movement, which cares for abused women and girls in need of healing, recently launched their new rape and crisis centre in Pellsrus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The centre will see to the women who are broken and walk a road with them to heal and uplift them. They will provide counselling and have one-on-one sessions with them, in order for them to heal and get to a better place in their life to be themselves again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Asked what NOMSA hopes to accomplish with the centre, founder Ashlene Arends said, \u201cTo provide services that will enable women to heal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe will offer counselling for rape victims and abused women and children, as well as short-term stays for women in need of temporary accommodation, and for women and yong girls who are victims of rape who need to enrol in a programme for healing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NOMSA, which operates in partnership with the We Care Organisation, will hold a four-day campaign in Jeffreys Bay from August 9 to 12 to determine just how great the need for such an organisation is in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
