Be a tourist in your own town this September \u2013 and stand the chance to win big with the Kouga Local Tourism Organisation (KLTO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In celebration of Tourism Month, the KLTO \u2013 the destination marketing arm of the Kouga Municipality \u2013 embarked on an exciting, local tourist-driven photo competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each week residents must find a specific tourist attraction in the Kouga region \u2013 including Jeffreys Bay and surrounding
areas, St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis, and Gamtoos River Valley \u2013 take a selfie, post it on the Kouga Express Facebook Page (Kouga Express), and hashtag it #kougatourismroutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The specific location will change each week and be announced in the Kouga Express<\/i>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second tourist attraction to be discovered by local tourists is the well-known landmark between Patensie and the Baviaanskloof in the Gamtoos River Valley. This landmark is the result of erosion of the sheer cliff and can be seen when en route to Patensie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visit the site, take a selfie, and post it on the Kouga Express<\/i> Facebook Page before September 27. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each photo uploaded on the Kouga Express <\/i>Facebook Page, is an entry into the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The photo must be accompanied by the date the photo was taken and contact details of the sender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The owner of the winning photo of the second week will receive a guided tour for two and Mooihoek Strawberry Farm in Patensie. They will furthermore be treated to lunch at Padlangs, sponsored by Malan Growers. The total value of the prize is R300 \u2013 anything exceeding the amount, is for the winner\u2019s own pocket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Terms and conditions apply. Bookings must be made in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Four weekly prizes, as well as two overall prizes can be won.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One lucky overall winner will receive a stay at Cape St Francis Resort, a day hike (Chokka Trail) with calamari tasting and a canal cruise for four valued at R2 400.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also up for grabs, is a weekend (two nights) for five at Pabala Private Nature Reserve\u2019s Stone Cottage. The prize is valued at R2 500. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both prizes are subject to availability and during off peak times. Bookings are essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The KLTO will choose the weekly and overall winners. The winning photos will also be published in the Kouga Express<\/i>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
