{"id":57192,"date":"2018-10-11T06:03:24","date_gmt":"2018-10-11T04:03:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/kougaexpress\/enter-for-miss-matric-dance-20181010-2\/"},"modified":"2025-03-20T21:29:23","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T19:29:23","slug":"enter-for-miss-matric-dance-20181010-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/kougaexpress\/enter-for-miss-matric-dance-20181010-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Enter for Miss Matric Dance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>THE annual <i>Kouga Express <\/i>Miss Matric Dance competition is back for the fourth time and we are again looking to crown the Miss Matric Dance for 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local matric girls who attended their ma-tric dance this year can now start entering our competition and stand a chance to win fabulous prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year we are again looking for the matric girl who has the complete look to become our next Miss Matric Dance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entrants will be judged on their overall look \u2013 including the dress, hair, make-up and accessories. A panel of judges will choose nine (9) finalists once entries have closed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>T<span>he judges will also choose 10 wild card entries and the public will have to vote for their favourite wild card on Facebook, who will make up the 10th finalist for this year\u2019s Miss Matric Dance.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition is not open for voting by the public, except for the wild card finalists who will be voted for by the public on Facebook by means of \u201clikes\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <b>PRIZES<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winner<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> A luxury stay for two at J-Bay Zebra Lodge, only 20 minutes from Jeffreys Bay, valued at R2 500. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> A one hour and 30 minutes group surf and stand up paddle (SUP Session) valued at R300 and R350 respectively, sponsored by Son Surf School in DaGama Road, Jeffreys Bay. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A R500 voucher from Marina Wharf at Marina Martinique, Jeffreys Bay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>First runner-up<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> A one hour and 30 minutes group surf and stand up paddle (SUP Session) valued at R300 and R350 respectively, sponsored by Son Surf School in DaGama Road, Jeffreys Bay. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A R500 voucher from Marina Wharf at Marina Martinique, Jeffreys Bay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Second runner-up<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> A one hour and 30 minutes group surf and stand up paddle (SUP Session) valued at R300 and R350 respectively, sponsored by Son Surf School in DaGama Road Jeffreys Bay.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A R500 voucher from Marina Wharf at Marina Martinique, Jeffreys Bay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>How to enter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enter, matric girls must send their matric dance photo via email only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qualifying entries will be uploaded in our Miss Matric Dance album on the <i>Kouga Express <\/i>Facebook page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your photo does not appear in the album, it means it did not qualify. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please give at least a day to allow entries to be reviewed and uploaded online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is how to send your email:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Send the photo to mmd@media24.com<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Include Kouga Express in the subject field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photos must be at least be 1MB in size and in jpg format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <span>Include the following details in your email<\/span>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <span>, <\/span>Name and surname<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <span>, <\/span>Age<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <span>, <\/span>Address (including suburb)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <span>, <\/span>Contact number<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <span>, <\/span>School you attend <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <span>, <\/span>Date when the dance took place<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rules<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <span>, <\/span>Only matric girls who attend schools in Kouga and Koukamma may enter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n <span>, <\/span>The matric dance you attended had to be held at a school in Kouga or Koukamma.
