MORE than 600 items of baby clothing were collected in a joint Nelson Mandela Day campaign by Kouga Municipality and the Fountains Mall in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mayor Horatio Hendricks had called on the public to donate used or new baby clothes that would go towards vulnerable children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mall\u2019s customers contributed 409 items, which were dropped off at the Fountains, while municipal staff weighed in with 209 of their own donations at the Jeffreys Bay main office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The donations were subsequently delivered to the Healthy Mom and Baby Clinic at Jeffreys Bay and Helping Hand at Patensie for further distribution. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
