With her big eyes, friendly smile and chubby legs, first born Helen\u00e9 de Wet from Patensie charmed the panel of independent judges to secure her place as this year\u2019s Kouga Express<\/i> Front Page Christmas Baby winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Helen\u00e9, born on June 26, was entered by her mother, Marina, who thinks she is the most beautiful baby girl in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But Helen\u00e9 almost missed out on wearing the winning crown for 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHad it not been for a friend who encou-raged me to enter, I would not even have known about the competition,\u201d says Marina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt was a great surprise when I found out that she was the winner . . . I did not think that she would win.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How would this proud mother describe her young daughter?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHelen\u00e9 is a true miracle and the fighter of all times \u2013 it was a very difficult and traumatic birth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe is the most beautiful girl we have ever seen. She is always friendly and happy and loves to talk \u2013 a real chatter box. She is furthermore calm and fearless, and definitely very curious of her surroundings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe loves to be outside and look at the leaves moving in the wind.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Helen\u00e9 loves to play with her soft toys \u2013 especially her bunny and hippo blanket. And with her four-legged doggy-sister Fleur, a border collie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And her favourite food? Milk, avocado and yoghurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Helen\u00e9 will have her Christmas stocking filled with educational building blocks and a sound puzzle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The De Wet-family will celebrate Christmas with their family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
