FOUR sporting codes will for the first time compete for top honours in the Kouga Mayor\u2019s Cup tournament in April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are very excited that we have been able to include more sporting codes in the Mayor\u2019s Cup this year,\u201d Kouga Executive Mayor Horatio Hendricks said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSport has the potential to change people\u2019s lives for the better and I am honoured to be able to contribute to the development of our local sporting codes through this tournament.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first Kouga Mayor\u2019s Cup Pool Tournament will take place at Jeffreys Bay on April 6. For information contact Ruwellyn Kurat at 067 109 5980.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An old favourite, the Kouga Mayor\u2019s Cup Netball Tourney, will also take place on April 6, with the action set to happen in Humansdorp. Contact 083 501 4548 for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first Mayor\u2019s Cup Beach Volleyball and Cricket tourneys will take place on April 6 and 7. The volleyball will be played at the Jeffreys Bay main beachfront and the cricket at Mentorskraal. Later in the month, on April 20, the first Mayor\u2019s Cup Chess Tournament will be held at the Newton Hall in Jeffreys Bay. For information, contact Petrus Stuurman at 083 974 1924.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another old favourite, the Mayor\u2019s Cup Golf Tourney, will take place at the St Francis Bay Golf Club on April 26. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
