THIS Sunday, April 28, the Haval Port Elizabeth Muck Run will give participants the opportunity to get as dirty as they like \u2013 without having to clean up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Competitors who attend the race are required to run, jump and sometimes swim through the dirtiest, muddiest obstacles they have ever seen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This unique obstacle style trail run offers the chance for a family outing or an entire office to bond as a team while taking on the combined efforts of man and Mother Nature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While Mother Nature will be throwing her fair share at participants, the man-made objects may be the more interesting to encounter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One such obstacle is the 50-metre slip and slide. Set on the banks of a dam and at a gradient of approximately 30 degrees, it will not be for the faint of heart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The obstacle is a first for the Eastern Cape and one of the longest inflatable slides in South Africa. The slide is just one of many obstacles at the event, which promises to be one to remember.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To remove all the worry about cleaning dirty clothes, participants are encouraged to donate dirty or unwanted clothing to the GWM pick up point afterwards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
From there it will all be generously cleaned by Spin Cycle laundromat and given to the Rotary Club of Port Elizabeth to distribute to those in need. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this way the Muck Run competitors can make a difference to some of those people who are less fortunate before the cold of another winter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Post-race there will also be a unique wooden collector\u2019s Muck Run medal for all finishers and some amazing lucky draw prizes up for grabs at the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
