Alzheimer\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n<p>Professionals in the field of Alzheimer\u2019s will talk about the various aspects of the illness, with a special focus on how to effectively communicate with a person living with dementia.<\/p>\n<p>Guidelines will also be given on how to manage a person living with Alzheimer\u2019s in a care centre, as well as understanding the behaviour and moods of those living with dementia.<\/p>\n<p>A speech therapist will focus on how to assist those with facing eating and swallowing challenges &#8211; often experienced by those in the more advanced stage of the illness.<\/p>\n<p>A discussion to assist family members to adjust to the placement of a loved one in a care facility, will close the session.<\/p>\n<p>For more information and to register for the
