SUPPORT a local animal shelter this October and help save a life \u2013 one decorated dog kennel at a time.<\/p>\n
It is as easy as one . . . two . . . three: donate, decorate and deliver.<\/p>\n
The Global Leadership Academy (GLA) in Jeffreys Bay, in conjunction with Fountains Mall and Dogsense, em(bark)ed on a much-needed fundraising project for local animal organisations in a bid to give \u2018homeless\u2019 dogs a warm kennel.<\/p>\n
They appeal to all residents and businesses to sponsor a dog kennel at R1 500 per kennel. <\/p>\n
\u201cBring your friends or employees to decorate and brand yur kennel during a fun event at Fountains Mall at 10:00 on Saturday, October 3,\u201d says event organiser Lizette Kemp.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor each decorated kennel, a waterproof dog cushion, bowls and a bag of Dogsense dog food will be sponsored to the benefit of the charities \u2013 JBay Animal Rescue Sanctuary, Humansdorp SPCA and St Francis Animal Rescue \u2013 represented.\u201d<\/p>\n
Various prizes will be up for grabs.<\/p>\n
Adding to the fun, is a dog show.<\/p>\n
Pure-bred or just pure love \u2013 your dog could be what the judges are looking for at the first GLA Dog show.<\/p>\n
Proud pet owners can show off their dogs in various categories: loveliest large breed, sexyest small breed, best dressed dog and most mixed breed.<\/p>\n
Buffed and puffed, dogs will hit the catwalk at Fountains Mall at 10:40 on Saturday, October 5. The entry fee is R30 per dog.<\/p>\n
There will be various stalls on the day.<\/p>\n
All funds raised will go towards the JBay Animal Rescue Sanctuary, Humansdorp SPCA and St Francis Animal Rescue.<\/p>\n
