\u201cTEN new Traffic and Law Enforcement vehicles have been added to the municipal fleet while ten extra Traffic officers and six Law Enforcement officers have been appointed on a contractual basis.\u201d<\/p>\n
More than 50 lifeguards and two shark spotters have further been deployed at Kouga\u2019s swimming beaches. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey are stationed at the official swimming beaches in Jeffreys Bay, St Francis Bay, Cape St Francis and Oyster Bay, as well as at the Gamtoos River Mouth.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe two shark spotters will be based at Cape St Francis Beach and Dolphin Beach in J\u2019Bay,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said Dolphin Beach, the Blue Flag beach at Jeffreys Bay, would be manned from 7:30am till 6pm daily while the other beaches will be open from 8am till 5pm.<\/p>\n
Lifeguards will be on duty at Dolphin Beach till 30 April and at the other beaches till 17 January. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe municipal lifeguards will once again be working closely with the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI). We are very grateful for their ongoing support,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
The official swimming beaches are: Dolphin, Pellsrus, Kabeljous (beach and lagoon), Paradise Beach, the Paradise picnic area, Hobie Beach and Granny\u2019s Pool in St Francis Bay, Cape St Francis, Oyster Bay and Gamtoos Mouth. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
