There is plenty of incentive for early-bird exercise enthusiasts to enter the SPAR Women\u2019s Challenge set to take to the road at Summerstrand in Port Elizabeth on March 21.<\/p>\n
Online entries for the event, which comprises 10km and 5km distances, opened last week \u2013 with the first 8 000 entrants to receive a goodie bag and race T-shirt. <\/p>\n
SPAR Eastern Cape Sponsorship and Events Manager, Alan Stapleton, encouraged females to join in the fun of \u201cPort Elizabeth\u2019s most beautiful race\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are big incentives for the professional runners, but, more importantly, this race talks to every woman,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt challenges all women to come out and test themselves in a safe and stress-free scenario, to exercise and to enjoy the fun, the camaraderie and the friendship of women.\u201d<\/p>\n
Besides the goodie bags, Stapleton said there were plenty of other incentives to enter.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be lucky draws with some amazing prizes and, yes, someone will walk away with a year\u2019s free groceries voucher.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn addition, the first 2 000 online entries will receive a Women\u2019s Challenge peak.\u201d<\/p>\n
The entry fee for the 10km race is R60 (licensed runners) and R100 (unlicensed runners), while the fee for the 5km event is R60.<\/p>\n
Entrants paying cash at an ATM will have to add an additional R10 bank charge fee, and if you pay cash at a teller, add an additional R43 per entry.<\/p>\n

Entry forms are available at The Footballer and Brian Bands Sports (Cape Road), Action Sports (6th Avenue Walmer and Summerstrand), Sportsmans Warehouse (Moffett Retail Park) and UD Sports
