THE Glenconnor Agricultural Association, in conjunction with The Co-op, will hold an Agricultural Information Day at Mayogi Bomas at 07:30 on Wednesday, March 11.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aimed at promoting information-sharing among farming disciplines in the Eastern Cape region, The Co-op is the main sponsor of this biannual event.<\/p>\n

The programme line-up includes inspiring speakers that are synonymous with the global agricultural industry. <\/p>\n

Dr Theo de Jager, President of the World Farmers\u2019 Organisation will be discussing world trends in agriculture and their potential impact on the South African Agricultural Industry.<\/p>\n

Other speakers include Pierre Vercueil, President of Agri SA (Land Expropriation without Compensation); Dawie Roodt, Chief Economist at the Efficient Group (The South African Economy in an Uncertain World); Dr Johan Kriek, owner of Mattanu Private Game Reserve (The Future of the Game Industry) and Peter Mitchley, Alternative Energy Specialist (Alternative Energy and the Impact of Eskom on Agriculture).<\/p>\n

In addition, as an exclusive opportunity, one of SA\u2019s most loved rugby personalities will join the impressive line-up of speakers. Guests will hear from Rassie Erasmus, SA Rugby\u2019s Director of Rugby, how to keep your eye on the ball, even when faced with setbacks and adversity.<\/p>\n

The day promises to be a melting pot of networking, experience-sharing and visio- sharpening. <\/p>\n

Co-op suppliers are also committed to the versatility of the information day by bringing their businesses to attendees. Exhibition stands will be activated during the day for the convenience of those present, with a hunting rifle being one of the many items that are up for grabs on the day, as well as a customised, handcrafted carving knife. <\/p>\n

In true Karoo-style the day will end off with a \u2018liplekker\u2019 braai.<\/p>\n
