The Jeffreys Bay Fish and Bread Ministries, in conjunction with Smhart Security, embarked on their first Blanket Drive earlier this month \u2013 helping those who need it the most.<\/p>\n
The Jeffreys Bay Fish and Bread Ministries, launched in June 2019, is a non-profit organisation that provides warm food to almost 100 homeless and less-fortunate residents every Tuesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe need is real,\u201d says Smhart Security Marketing Manager, Dewald van Staden. \u201cIn the winter months, there are so many residents \u2013 young and old \u2013 who are in desperate need of blankets to keep themselves warm from the harsh elements during the cold spells.<\/p>\n
\u201cTogether, we can make a \u2018warm\u2019 difference.\u201d<\/p>\n
Anyone can make a donation: a gently used or new blanket, a sleeping bag, beanies, gloves, scarves, a jacket and anything that can keep the cold out this winter.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe would like to encourage the people throughout Kouga to donate much-needed warm goods, blankets and non-perishable food for the needy,\u201d says Van Staden.<\/p>\n
Donations can be dropped off at Smhart Security\u2019s office situated at 4 Disa Road in Jeffreys Bay. All donations will be distributed among the needy in May this year. <\/p>\n
