Kouga Express korrespondent Joane Azenhahet daar gaan kuier om meer oor hierdie juweel uit te vind.<\/p>\n<p>Met die oogopslag lyk die restaurant soos \u2019n ou plaashuis wat van altyd af nog daar was. Die prentjiemooi voorkant word geraam deur pragtige inheemse plantegroei, \u2019n groen grasperk en selfs hulle eie wingerd, wat sommer net vir die lekker-eet daar groei. <\/p>\n<p>Daar is heerlike speelplek vir kinders buite die restaurant. Daar is \u2019n klimraam, swaaie en fonteinblad om die kinders besig te hou terwyl ouers hulself vereenselwig met die lekkernye wat op die spyskaart te vinde is. Sy vertel hoe sy as kind kan onthou dat haar pa sakkies lemoene en ander vrugte langs die pad sou los met \u2019n houer vir die geld. Verbygaande inwoners sou hulself help en die geld in die boksie laat. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDie geld het aan die einde van elke dag geklop. Dit was ongelooflik.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Buchner bedryf sedert Oktober 2019 die Suikerbossie en sy het die \u201cwenresep spyskaart\u201d redelik onveranderd gelaat, omdat die restaurant alombekend is vir sy smaaklike panne-koeke en liplekker melkskommels. <\/p>\n<p>Daar is pannekoeke met verskeie soet en soutvulsels op die spyskaart, van die tradisionele kaneelsuiker tot \u2019n interessante kombinasie soos hoender en perske wat klink of dit uit Hilda, van <span>7de laan<\/span> se resepteboek kom. Dit maak nie saak watter dis jy besluit om te probeer nie, jy is verseker van \u2019n onvergeetlike ervaring. <\/p>\n<p>Oor naweke bestaan hulle klandisie meestal uit stappers wat die pagtige Kabeljouws-natuurreservaat besoek. Hulle kry ook baie fietsryers, sowel as motorfietsryers. Suikerbossie is die perfekte plek om uit te span na \u2019n stappie in die natuur of \u2019n heerlike rit in die vars lug. <\/p>\n<p>Die restaurant het ook \u2019n heerlike winkel waar plaaslike entrepreneurs \u2019n platform het om hulle produkte te verkoop. Handgemaakte speelgoed, natuurlike velprodukte, heuning en beskuit is maar net van die vele snoeperye wat daar te vinde is. <\/p>\n<p>Suikerbossie is amper heeltemal rommelvry, en die meeste van hul afval word herwin. Organiese material en oorskietkos word varkkos, en volgens Ri\u00ebtte het sy maar twee klein plastieksakke vol vullis wat sy elke week moet wegry. <\/p>\n<p>Dis nie net die omliggende omgewing wat groen is nie, maar die restaurant self dra by tot die beskerming van die inheemse natuurskoon wat daar te siene is. <\/p>\n<p>Sedert haar oorname het Ri\u00ebtte wel een merkbare verandering aangebring, en dit is dat die restaurant nou ook Sondae oop is en jy \u2019n heerlike bord gekookte boerekos daar kan kry vir Sondagmiddagete. Die plek sou dit tog nie sy naam gestand doen daarsonder nie. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Soos die liedjie lui:<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>Sy kan nie kos kook nie, haar kos is rou;<\/p>\n<p>sy kan nie tee maak nie, haar tee is flou;<\/p>\n<p>sy kan nie brood bak nie, dis als verbrou:<\/p>\n<p>tog wag ek, Suikerbossie, net vir jou!<\/p>\n<p>Ter afsluiting: indien j\u00f3\u00fa Suikerbossie dalk van die soort is wat nie kan kosmaak, brood bak of teemaak nie, gaan besoek gerus die Suikerbossie restaurant, dit is beslis die moeite werd.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suikerbossie se eie pampoenkoekie resep:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vir die koekies:<\/p>\n<p>Meng 2 koppies gaar pampoen met:<\/p>\n<p>1 koppie gesifte bruismeel<\/p>\n<p>2 tl bakpoeiet<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd tl sout<\/p>\n<p>1 geklitste eier<\/p>\n<p>Skep lepelsvol in warm olie en bak tot goudbruin<\/p>\n<p>Vir die sous: <\/p>\n<p>Verhit \u00be koppie melk en voeg 3 tl Meelblom (Maizena) by. <\/p>\n<p>Kook saam. <\/p>\n<p>Voeg nou 3tl botter en 1 koppie suiker by. <\/p>\n<p>Laat dit weer saam kook tot verdik. <\/p>\n<p>Gooi warm oor koekies en bedien. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Die Suikerbossie restaurant net buite Jeffreysbaai is so eg Afrikaans soos die pampoenkoekies wat \u2019n mens sommige Sondae daar te koop kry.
