FOUNTAINS Mall, in conjunction with CANSA Jeffreys Bay, will hold a luminaria display at the mall tomorrow, Friday, March 12.<\/p>\n
Residents, young and old, are invited to buy a luminaria bag. <\/p>\n
\u201cOnce they have purchased a luminaria bag, they can decorate the bag,\u201d said Fountains Mall marketing manager, Nadine Scheepers. <\/p>\n
\u201cDecorations can be as simple as a name written in pen to frills such as glitter and cut outs.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe display, which is only a small part of the traditional Relay for Life event, is in memory of a cancer survivor, those who have lost the battle against cancer and patients still on their cancer journey, as well as the caregivers and cancer support services,\u201d said Scheepers.<\/p>\n
Luminaria bags, at a cost of R10 each, are available at the Fountains Mall centre management office (middle entrance). <\/p>\n
All returned bags will be displayed at Fountains Mall from 16:00 to 19:00 on Friday, March 12.<\/p>\n
All funds raised will go towards research to help find a cure for cancer, as well as to assist local cancer patients in financial need.<\/p>\n
