Photos: Supplied<\/div>\n<div class=\"img_accreditation\"><span class=\"source\" style=\"display:none;\"><\/span><span class=\"photographer\" style=\"display:none;\"><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Heavy falls of rain last night caused some havoc across the Kouga region &#8211; damaging several houses and roads.<\/p>\n<p>Some 0.4mm of rain was recorded at Stuurmanskraal, while the Kouga Dam received about 4.5mm of rain. Rainfall at Patensie measured 2.5mm and 10.7 at Mondplaaas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With the heaviest rainfall along the coastal belt, it is estimated that Jeffreys Bay received 75mm of rain, Humansdorp 100mm, St Francis Bay 97mm, and Oyster Bay 87mm.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Areas affected are Sea Vista and 7de Laan in St Francis Bay; Ocean View and Madiba Bay in Jeffreys Bay; and Arcadia, the low lying areas at the informal settlement Golf Course, KwaNomzamo, Vaaldam, and Kruisfontein in Humansdorp,&#8221; said Kouga Executive Mayor, Horatio Hendricks.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The majority of houses flooded in these specific areas are either situated in low lying areas, or built lower than the height of the roads.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Also affected are houses and roads in Aston Bay and Paradise Beach.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"Images\" data-pos=\"middle\" id=\"embed_78ef1dbb\">\n<div class=\"slide\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Harbour Road in St Francis Bay has been severely d\" data-smallsrc=\"https:\/\/cdn.24.co.za\/files\/Cms\/General\/d\/10032\/bbc68548742a4497ab9ec2c2bb17abb8.jpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.24.co.za\/files\/Cms\/General\/d\/10032\/23d569f183d94eafa62fa7cd6ff0b26e.jpeg\" title=\"Harbour Road in St Francis Bay.
