ST FRANCIS Hospice is in urgent need of your help and support. The men of Kouga and beyond are invited to step up and \u201cGrow A Mo\u201d in the Movember Challenge. <\/p>\n

The challenge is organised by the Rotary Clubs of St Francis and Jeffreys Bay, who are urging you to sign up with your friends, work colleagues, sport team and club members to see who can grow the best moustache over the period of one month \u2013 November \u2013 and all for a very worthy cause, with Rotary supporting St Francis Hospice.<\/p>\n

COVID-19 has taken its toll on all fund-raising activities and Hospice is no exception. <\/p>\n

Without public support, there is a genuine prospect of Hospice in the Kouga region having to close its doors, if urgently needed funding cannot be found. <\/p>\n

The fun event has captured the attention of popular comedian and media personality, Gino Fabbri, who is supporting the challenge to help keep the doors of hospice open and providing palliative care, along with emotional and physical support to patients and families in their time of need. <\/p>\n

\u201cDuring this lunatic time, charities are hit very hard. It\u2019s up to the community to help out. If we don\u2019t, suffering will be harder to bear. So this lunatic is diving in with St Francis Hospice to raise some funds and awareness during Movember! If the moustache fits, wear it… and I\u2019ll be doing just that,\u201d said Fabbri.<\/p>\n

So spread the word, set up a fun challenge within your workplace, sports clubs or with friends and family and sign up for Movember on Quicket or EFT. <\/p>\n

Registration is a R150 donation to Rotary Club of St Francis with all proceeds going to St Francis Hospice Kouga. Then simply WhatsApp a photo of yourself clean shaven on November 1, throw away your razor, and get ready to grow your mo. You can send us update photos along the way with a final photo at the end of the month.<\/p>\n

Apart from serious bragging rights, there will be some fun prizes and lots of press photos. Finalists will be live streamed on Fabbri\u2019s show at the end of November.<\/p>\n

Entries close on November 1, 2021. The competition closes on November 30. <\/p>\n

Final photos and winners will be notified and announced in the media.<\/p>\n
