This festive season, Kouga visitors and residents have many opportunities to experience the Gamtoos Valley at its best. <\/p>\n
One of the stops that should be on any itinerary when visiting the area is a visit to the Mooihoek Farm in Hankey. Visitors to Mooihoek Strawberry Farm can come and pick their own fresh strawberries during the summer holiday, from December 4 to January 8 from 08:00 to 16:00. They are closed on Sundays and December 25. <\/p>\n
No booking is required but it is recommended that bookings are made for groups larger than 15 people.<\/p>\n
Visitors can purchase a tub from the Farm Stall and head off to the designated strawberry picking fields. Only persons who purchase a tub are allowed in the picking fields (children under 4 are allowed to share a tub).<\/p>\n

For those with a taste for honey and gin, a visit to the Pabala Private Nature Reserve is a must. They offer a daily honey tasting at 12:00 at a cost of R195 per person. Pre-booking is required and the duration is an hour. <\/p>\n
Pabala also offers Craft Gin Tastings daily at 14:00. The cost is R195 per person to taste the \u201cwild side of Gin\u201d, crafted and bottled in the Gamtoos Valley. Pre-booking is required and the duration is 2 hours.<\/p>\n
