{"id":49560,"date":"2022-02-03T12:34:40","date_gmt":"2022-02-03T10:34:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/kougaexpress\/newly-constructed-ecd-centre-opens-in-kwanomzamo-20220202\/"},"modified":"2025-03-13T17:04:36","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T15:04:36","slug":"newly-constructed-ecd-centre-opens-in-kwanomzamo-20220202","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/kougaexpress\/newly-constructed-ecd-centre-opens-in-kwanomzamo-20220202\/","title":{"rendered":"Newly constructed ECD centre opens in Kwanomzamo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the Kouga ECD Project, the Centre for Early Childhood Development is upgrading ECD centres in the Kouga region. <\/p>\n<p>Previously, Noluthando Daycare Centre was based in the house of the principal but they now have new infrastructure, which means that children are able to play and learn in a safe environment. <\/p>\n<p>This new infrastructure was also made possible through a partnership with Breadline Africa. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the support of the Kouga Windfarm Community Development Trust, we are working with 33 ECD centres over a five-year period with the aim of increasing young children\u2019s access to quality ECD services in the area,\u201d said Sarah Atmore of the Centre for Early Childhood Development. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are providing leadership and management training and support, first aid training, infrastructure upgrades, education equipment provision, and support with registration and compliance.
