All camps have permanent water points and are securely fenced off.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is hoped that the pound will go a long way towards reducing road accidents that are a result of stray animals,\u201d said Benson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pound will also greatly contribute to the fight against stock theft, as stray animals will now have a secure place to be taken to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said that the pound makes use of a service provider to pick up stray animals.<\/p>\n<p>Benson encouraged all livestock owners to ensure that their animals do not wander around unattended and that they are properly branded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUltimately, it is the responsibility of livestock owners to keep their animals from damaging other people\u2019s property and roaming around in the road, where they
