Die wag om te sien wat daar gebeur, was beslis die moeite werd.<\/p>\n<p>The Green Garden is \u2019n koffiekuierplek met \u2019n verskil. Hier kan jy nie net lekker drinkgoed en ligte-eetgoed geniet nie, maar ook met \u2019n bossie spinasie of \u2019n koolkop huistoe gaan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDie perseel het kommersi\u00eble en residensi\u00eble regte en daar is \u2019n boorgat. Ek en my vrou het besluit om \u2019n gemeenskapstuin tot stand te bring, en almal in die buurt is genooi om iets te kom plant. Party het groente geplant en ander het tuin gemaak,\u201d s\u00ea Fonnie Talwitzer, eienaar van Green Garden.<\/p>\n<p>Talwitzer is onder meer \u2019n boer en ontwikkelaar met sapfabrieke op verskeie plekke in die land. Hy k\u00e9n die vrugteberyf, van Tzaneen tot in die Langkloof.<\/p>\n<p>By di\u00e9 tuin word natuurlike maniere van insekbestryding gebruik \u2013 geen kommersi\u00eble gif nie. Mohammed Swaleyi is die tuinier wat alles in orde hou.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOns wil graag sien dat mense hier die rustigheid, sommer hier oorkant die strand, geniet. Ons doen moeite om \u2019n rustige atmosfeer te skep. Daar is ook heelwat kinderboeke, want ons wil kinders aanmoedig om te lees. Bo alles wil ons h\u00ea dat mense hier met mekaar moet gesels.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Die barista en bestuurder, Iddie Juma, hou deurentyd die koffiemasjien aan die gang om stomende koffie te maak. Dit werk met sonkrag en word dus nie deur beurtkrag geraak nie.
