In January of this year, he<br \/>\nwas elected as deputy mayor. <\/p>\n<p>According to Yusuf Cassim, MPL and DA Eastern Cape Provincial Chairperson, Bornman has come through the ranks and has proven to be<br \/>\nan excellent public representative with a great deal of institutional<br \/>\nknowledge.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The DA is in full support<br \/>\nof the mayor\u2019s vision to continue to build Kouga as a municipality of<br \/>\nopportunity, where all residents can realise their potential and enjoy a<br \/>\nhigh-quality standard of living.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have full confidence in<br \/>\nMayor Bornman\u2019s ability to lead the municipality and continue to implement the<br \/>\nDA\u2019s mandate of clean governance and service delivery,&#8221; Cassim said.<\/p>\n<p>The DA also
