Kindly discourage neighbours from doing so and explain the long-term problems it creates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep your distance.<br>Avoid encouraging monkeys to come close to people, particularly children. Remember \u2014 they are wild animals and should be treated as such.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Secure your home and waste.<br>Always keep windows and rubbish bins tightly closed and fastened. Reducing the sight and smell of food significantly lowers the chances of unwanted monkey visitors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Condition them to stay away \u2014 safely.<br>You can gently deter monkeys from your property using a catapult loaded with small cubes of potato.
