NOMFUNDO Fetsha, chief financial officer of the Chris Hani District municipality (CHDM), appeared in the Port Elizabeth Commercial Crimes Court on Monday on charges of forgery, theft and fraud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fetsha and her co-accused, Mfundo Kwani, as well as his company Mfuraa Projects and General CC, are accused of chanelling a donation of R100 000 for sports equipment for a CHDM youth programme, into the bank account of Mfuraa Projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the charge sheet, Fetsha neglected to deliver the necessary supporting documents to comply with the Municipal Financial Management Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bail was set at R2 000 each. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
