MAYOR Deon de Vos, of the Dr Beyers Naud\u00e9 Local Municipality, embarked on his annual outreach programme last week, accompanied by a delegation of municipal officials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The public participation programme is scheduled to end with Ward 4 on Thursday, May 2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It serves to introduce the draft 2019\/20 IDP and budget to the communities of all 14 wards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It also provides a platform for constructive engagement on the issues contained in the documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Residents, as well as the private and public sector, are encouraged to attend these meetings (of which a schedule has already been published, with copies posted on notice boards).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The public are also invited to inspect the documents which are available for viewing at public libraries, municipal administrative centres and on the municipal website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
