CHRIS Hani District Girls\u2019 football club, Cumakala Ladies\u2019 FC, is ready to take part in this season\u2019s Sasol Women\u2019s League play-offs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Wezo Ndiki-coached side earned the right to compete in the Provincial play-offs after finishing third in the 2019 Sasol Women\u2019s League Inland Stream with 25 points from 14 games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Eastern Cape Sasol Women\u2019s League play-offs are set to take place on Saturday at the Jan Smuts Stadium in East London. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fixtures will determine the Eastern Cape Sasol Women\u2019s League top eight and the overall winner who will represent the province in the national play-offs this December in Gauteng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The play-offs will be played according to the SAFA uniform rules of competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cumakala Ladies outfit will play against Port Elizabeth side, Sophakama Ladies\u2019 FC, for a third place position in the province at 11:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cumakala Ladies\u2019 chairperson, Fundile Jacobs, is happy with the state of the team even though they are playing under difficult conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are happy with third place. The team played well this season and hopefully we will continue with that form in the play-offs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur players are based in different places and that makes it difficult to prepare the team every week, but that does not stop the girls from working even harder,\u201d Jacobs said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jacobs also said they would love to finish third in the province when they face Sophakama Ladies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is not our first time playing against Sophakama. We have beaten them before, but we will be playing against a different side this time. We would love to finish the season with a win and finish third in the province,\u201d said Jacobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
