Suspects Zine Joy Gxulu (35) and Phumeza Pindo (38) were
\nfound guilty and sentenced to 18 years\u2019 imprisonment by the Komani Magistrate\u2019s Court on October 1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni
\nsaid during 2019 the fraud victim lost her cell phone while she was traveling
\nin a taxi and a few days later the victim went to draw a bank statement when
\nshe discovered fraudulent transactions done on her bank account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA case of fraud was opened and assigned to Warrant Officer
\nMarriette Olivier,\u201d said Mdleleni. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDuring April this year two suspects were arrested in the
\nWestern Cape.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mdleleni said both pleaded guilty for fraud and sentenced to
\n18 years\u2019 imprisonment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
