The Graaff-Reinet Protective
\nWorkplace, trading as Boundless, is proud to once again partner with the
\nNational Council of and for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD), for Casual Day on
\nFriday, September 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casual Day is South Africa\u2019s
\nleading fundraising and awareness campaign for Persons living with Disabilities
\nand is the flagship project of the NCPD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Richard Bremner, chairperson
\nof <\/strong>the Graaff-Reinet Protective Workplace, the Graaff-Reinet Protective
\nWorkplace has been in operation for 40 years and serves to give hope, purpose,
\nand dignity to those living with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSince the Karoo Community Church
\ntook over the organisation from the ACVV in April 2017, it continues to flourish,
\nand we are very grateful for the support that we receive from our community,\u201d said
\nBremner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Casual Day, South Africans are
\nencouraged to go to work or school dressed differently \u2013 to either dress up or
\ndress down \u2013 in line with this year\u2019s theme \u2013 #IcelebrateSA, and to wear the
\nofficial Casual Day sticker, to show their support for persons living with
\ndisabilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bremner said the campaign
\nencourages the public to contribute financially through a small donation of R20
\nfor a sticker and at the same time, raise awareness and lobbies for the full
\ninclusion and equity for all people living with disabilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo not only does it raise funds;
\nbut it also raises awareness of the challenges and potential of the community
\nin a fun way,\u201d said Bremner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casual Day is run in partnership
\nwith its National Beneficiary Organisations who provide services and advocacy
\nwork which include, The South African National Council for the Blind, the South
\nAfrican Federation for Mental Health, the Deaf Federation of South Africa,
\nAutism South Africa, Down Syndrome South Africa, National Association for
\nPersons with Cerebral Palsy, the South African National Deaf Association, the
\nNational Institute for the Deaf, Alzheimer\u2019s South Africa, QuadPara Association
\nof South Africa, South African Disability Alliance, and the National Council of
\nand for Persons with Disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nBourke Streets, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 and on
\nSaturdays, from 09:00 to 13:00. Purchase of digital stickers can also be made
\nthis year by visiting the specialised link for Boundless on the <\/a>Casual Day Online Shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For large orders, Boundless will deliver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from the Boundless Shop, tickets can also be purchased from various participating NGO\u2019s, organisations, schools, government departments and various stores namely, Jet, Alpha Pharm, Toys R Us, Babies R Us, The Hub, Jam and loot.co.za.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
