Swift police investigation led to the speedy arrest of a suspect
\nwho allegedly broke into a house and injured an 84-year-old woman on a farm
\njust outside Willowmore on April 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel
\nSiphokazi Mawisa, it is alleged that at about 06:30 on April 14, the elderly woman
\nheard noises on her roof. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She further said that when the woman went to investigate,
\nshe found an unknown man in the kitchen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe woman was pushed onto the floor where she sustained
\ninjuries,\u201d said Mawisa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said that the suspect cut off the telephone cables and
\nleft the house with an undisclosed amount of cash. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAt about 18:00, the woman\u2019s daughter found her still lying
\non the floor,\u201d said Mawisa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said that a case of house robbery was opened for
\ninvestigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally on April 15, one day after the incident occurred, Mawisa
\nsaid that police arrested the suspect at De Rust in the Western Cape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She further said that he is due to appear at Willowmore Magistrate
\nCourt on April 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
