For Samantha Gillion entering the Mrs South Africa 2025 competition is about much more than competing for a title; it is a mission of purpose, faith and empowerment, inspiring women and young girls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mother of two said she decided to enter the competition after much prayer and reflection because she believes in the values and pillars of the Mrs South Africa competition, namely self-development, community, networking and guiding married women towards becoming the best version of themselves; these align seamlessly with her life’s mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“My reason for entering is deeply rooted in love, for family and friends, for women who need to know their worth and, above all, my love for Christ, who has called me to this mission. Through this journey I pray to be a light, helping others find the same confidence, peace and love that has transformed my life.”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gillion grew up in Hawston and lived in Johannesburg before moving back to the area where she met her husband Ranvor. They have two children, RJ and Aimee, and they currently split their time between Gordon’s Bay during the week, for work, and weekends at home in Hawston.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One thing about Gillion that stands out is her passion for uplifting young women. To this effect she co-founded Edify Her, a community project that offers workshops designed to “help young girls discover their worth, embrace their identity in Christ and walk boldly in confidence”.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Faith, suffice to say, is a big driving force in Gillion’s life. She explained: “As women we often struggle with self-worth and identity, but I believe that true confidence is rooted in faith. My heart beats for empowering others to discover their God-given identity and to live boldly in their purpose.” \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This led her to write a book entitled Love Says. “My book reflects my personal journey of discovering the unconditional love of Christ and how it transformed my life. Through this book I hope to share the life-changing power of God’s love with others, particularly young girls. Love Says is available on Amazon, and I dream of getting it into the hands of as many young girls as possible at no cost, so they can experience this transformative love for themselves and begin to see their own value and purpose in God’s eyes.”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Being a participant in the Mrs South Africa competition, for Gillion, is an opportunity to showcase the values she holds dear \u2013 faith, empowerment and service. “The pillars of the Mrs SA competition \u2013 self-development, community, network and platform \u2013 align perfectly with my core values. Self-development is about growing in confidence and embracing our full potential, which is rooted in my journey with Christ.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Community is close to my heart as I believe in supporting and uplifting others, particularly women and young girls, as we walk together in faith. Through our community project, Edify Her, I have the privilege of hosting workshops for young girls, helping them discover their worth in Christ and build unshakable confidence.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Networking is an essential aspect of connecting with like-minded women who share the same desire to impact the world, and I’m excited to build these connections. Finally, the platform is something I am grateful for, as it allows me to share my story, amplify God’s love, and encourage others to embrace their worth and purpose in Him. I am deeply committed to serving young girls and empowering mothers so they can be the guiding light their daughters need.”
