\u201cIf youth only knew, if age only could,<\/em>\u201d lees ek oor een van ons kosbaarste besittings: tyd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aangesien dit al wat ons nou het waarvan ons seker is, bly die versigtige en suksesvolle bestuur daarvan ons voordeel of verlies. Daniel Defoe se boek Robinson Crusoe<\/em> met sy twee lyste was seker nog nooit meer van toepassing as juis nou nie. Aan die een kant van die lys is al sy probleme, maar wanneer hy sy voordele neerskryf, elimineer dit sy aanvanklike probleme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2019n Goeie voorbeeld hiervan is dat hy al sy klere verloor het toe die skip gestrand het, maar dat dit so warm was dat hy in elk geval nie baie klere nodig gehad het nie! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Met die aanbreek van die koronakrisis het ek ook voorraad gaan koop, maar geen paniekaankope nie. Maar toe ek in die ry by die betaalpunt staan, sien ek paniekerig dat ons dalk gaan honger ly, gegewe die skamele artikels in my handmandjie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robinson Crusoe se lys kom weer by my op en my o\u00eb dartel oor die goedere in sommige mense se waentjies en ek wonder oor die wysheid van sommige aankope. As ons Crusoe se gesindheid gehad het, het ons dalk heeltemal anders gekoop en anders gedink!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die lysie van al ons voorspoed sou dalk onvoorsien baie lank gewees het. Die gunstige posisie van \u2019n huis en klere en om in \u2019n ry te staan met \u2019n waentjie vol kos, is meer as wat baie ander ooit sal h\u00ea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As ons elke dag net een se\u00ebning op ons lysie neerskryf, kan dit \u2019n lywige dokument word \u2013 siende dat ons nou wel tyd op hande het. 1 440 minute in elke dag. Neem net een minuut daarvan om dit wat regtig meriete het neer te skryf \u2013 moenie toelaat dat ander jou tyd steel en jy nalaat om jou dankbaarheid neer te pen en die wysheid wat kom deur verdraagsaam\u00adheid, verontagsaam nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die inventaris van ons lewe sal seker maar olyftakkies en kainstekens h\u00ea solank ons nie toelaat dat inversie wegkalwe aan ons karakter nie. As ons doelgerig bly en die stokkiesdraaiers (empatie en mededeelsaamheid) toelaat om deel van ons gesprek te wees, sal ons standvastig wees en kan ons ven\u00addusie hou met die oortollige, onnodige kleingeestigheid en liefde stemreg gee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOm hom langer te laat leef, skiet ons hom 2 845 keer,\u201d verstaan ek die Nissan-advertensie van Februarie 1991 amper verkeerd. Ek lees toe die adver\u00adten\u00adsie net om te sien dit gaan oor akkurate sweisplekke. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ek het nou ook al 2 845 keer gehoor ek moet my hande gereeld was, maskers dra, en myself afsonder. Ek sien egter dat die akkuraatheid daarvan pynlik misluk aangesien inhegtenisnemings uitgevoer moet word vir wangedrag. Is die doel dan nie dat ons sodoende langer sal leef nie?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2019n Ander voordeel wat ek op my lysie gaan skryf om gebruik te maak van my 1 440 minute is om dankbaar te wees vir die verminderde SMS\u2019e wat ek op my selfoon ontvang. Die SMS\u2019e wat ek nou ontvang, is nie meer die aanbiedings van lenings en dergelikhede nie, maar skuld\u00adkonsolidasie. Begrafnisdekking is nog een. Hoeveel dekking het ek nodig as ek net een mens is wat net een keer begrawe kan word? \u2019n Mens kan egter leer uit hul vasberadenheid en dit behoort gelys te word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Om met jou medemens oor die weg te kom verg moeite, begrip, wysheid en ingrypings van Bo. Ek glo ons sal nuwe eienskappe in mekaar ontdek, waarde\u00adring begin kry vir vermoeienis met ons deur ons geliefdes, dalk weer saam wees om die sonsondergang toe te laat om jou te oorrompel, die silwer randjie sal dan goud wys en jy sal verstaan dat di\u00e9 edelmetaal net waarde het as dit in die hart sy bestek vind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jy sal van voor af asem ophou as \u2019n kwikkie in jou huis instap met soveel onverskrokkenheid dat selfs die kat ge\u00efntimideer opstaan en uitloop. Jou hond sal nie meer afskeeptydjies en net \u2019n vryf oor die kop kry nie. Jy sal leer om te skryf oor dit wat jy nog nooit in woorde kon of wou s\u00ea nie sodat wanneer die boodskap by jou kinders uitkom hulle jou liefde as \u2019n werklikheid sal ervaar al is daar nie \u2019n drukkie om dit te bevestig of te vergesel nie. Jy sal leer om jou gevoelens op die mees kreatiewe maniere ooit ten toon te stel sonder vrees van verwerping, want jou lyftaal, hande en o\u00eb is nie daar om te help wanneer jy stom raak nie. Jy sal leer om die boodskappies wat jy terug ontvang te waardeer en mooi te lees. Jou o\u00eb sal elke woord opslurp en jy sal geliefd voel. Jy sal leer om geduldig te wees, om te wag vir \u2019n antwoord op jou boodskap en respek te h\u00ea vir ander se tyd as die antwoord nie onmiddellik terugkom nie. Hopelik stap ons, post-Covid-19, uit as mense met meer begrip vir mekaar. Liefde is nodig sodat ons almal hierdeur kan kom sonder letsels en bloeiende harte. Aan die waters wat verby is kan ons niks meer doen nie, maar die syferwatertjies kan br\u00fbe help bou.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
