Cr\u00e8che\u2019s in the Overstrand are in need sanitising and cleaning material \u2013 can you help?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Early Childhood Development centres (ECDs) also known as cr\u00e8che\u2019s have been given the green light to open. They however need sanitising and cleaning material and is asking for the help from the community. Children need the teaching and care for their well-being and parents need to have their children in safe care. Before ECDs can open they need to have health and hygiene protocols in place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Enlighten Education Trust and Flower Valley Conservation Trust can assist all the cr\u00e8ches in the Overstrand with their compliance requirements. These organisations are also responsible for verifying weather a facility may or may not open.Staff members of ECD centres that are ready to open will be receiving training, and will ultimately require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and sanitising and cleaning material. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many facilities can\u2019t afford these and would therefore not be able to open. The Western Cape Government has committed to provide support, but their funds are severely limited. Overstrand Municipality will also assist. This will not be enough and we are appealing for your support to ensure that all the ECDs open. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
ECDs need the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u20222 x cloth masks for every adult on site, \u20221 x additional mask \/ visor for every 10 children, in case a child becomes ill at the centre, \u20221 x 1 Litre spray gun for cleaning and sanitising,\u20221 x water soluble sanitiser tablet, \u20222 x pairs of rubber gloves for cleaning and managing waste,\u202230 x cleaning cloths, \u20221 x 5 Litre bleach for cleaning, \u20221 x tippy tap if extra water points are needed, \u20222 x boxes of tissues, \u20223 x Disposable hand paper towel rolls, \u20221 x pack of 12 soap bars, \u20221 x 5 Litre dishwashing liquid, \u20221 x 5 Litre disinfectant (example Detto l), \u20221 x digital thermometer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
