Die
\nOverstrand-munisipaliteit en ander rolspelers het hierdie jaar tydens Nasionale
\nKinderbeskermingsweek, wat van 30 Mei tot 6 Junie plaasgevind het, na kinders
\nin die omgewing uitgereik en hulle meer oor hul veiligheid en regte ingelig.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens
\nTamzyn Zweig, omgewingsbestuurder van Kleinmond, het Kleinmond-kinderweslyn
\nVrydag 4 Junie \u2018n bewusmakingsgeleentheid gehou oor nie net kinderveiligheid en
\n-regte nie, maar ook oor hoe om die omgewing te bewaar. \u201cDie kinders was regtig
\noulik en het selfs die rommel in die dorp opgetel,\u201d vertel Tamzyn. \u201cEen van die
\ndinge wat ons vir die kinders gewys het, was die vangnet voor die stormwaterpype.\u201d    <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die
\nOverstrand-munisipaliteit werk nou saam met die Marine Dynamics en die Dyer
\nIsland Conservation Trust (DICT) om rommelstorting tot die minimum te beperk
\ndeur opvangsnette voor die stormwaterpype te sit.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Di\u00e9
\nprojek is ge\u00efnspireer deur \u2018n projek in Australi\u00eb en Wilfred Chivell van die  Marine Dynamics Tours en stigter van DICT, het
\nbesef dat Suid-Afrika ook kan baat vind by so \u2018n projek en het dit in 2019
\nbekendgestel. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die
\nOverberg-munisipaliteit in vennootskap met die DICT en ander
\nnieregeringsorganisasies wil hierdie projek oor die hele Overstrand van stapel
