Moenie vals inligting deel wat nie deur die munisipaliteit bevestig is nie.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2019n Tydelike stop-en-ry-punt is op die R44 daargestel op dag drie van die brand, met net een baan wat vir verkeer oopgestel is. Op dag drie was die brand nog nie in bedwang nie. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lester Smith, die Overstrand-munisipaliteit se brandweerhoof, s\u00ea helikopters is ingebring om te help om strukture in Heuningkloof te beskerm. Altesaam 100 brandbestryders was op dag drie aktief besig om die brande te bestry.<strong>Dag vier<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2019n Totaal van 12 huise is tydens voorbrand-operasies omstreeks 02:00 Dinsdagoggend deur Enviro Wildfire gered. Dieselfde groep gaan komende Saterdag (15 Januarie) \u2019n ondersoek van stapel stuur om die oorsaak van die brand te ondersoek. Die Paardeberg-brandlyne was net gedeeltelik ingeperk, maar daar was geen bedreiging vir die dorp van Kleinmond nie, al het verskeie inwoners foto\u2019s geneem van hoe duidelik sigbaar die brand op die berg was. Alle paaie is weer op dag vier geopen. <strong><strong>Skade<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Louise Wessels, die mediabeampte van Highlands\/Kleinmond Wildfire, onder leiding van die burgemeester, het Maandag (10 Januarie) bevestig dat 4 700 hektaar al in puin gel\u00ea is. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Tydens dag twee van die brand het Gys Boonzaaier, \u2019n plaaslike byeboer, 11 van sy byekorwe in die brand verloor. Die groot skade is egter die voedselbron vir 170 korwe wat hy verloor het. \u201cEk moet nou nuwe weiveld vir die bye soek. Grondeienaars wat oor weiding beskik, kan my asseblief by 083 225 5695 bel,\u201d s\u00ea Boonzaaier. Die skade het nie daar gestop nie en later die aand het \u2019n struktuur binne die Lamloch-plaas ook afgebrand. <strong><strong>Gemeenskap raak betrokke<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Die gemeenskap het almal hul ondersteuning getoon en alles van ys tot water en oogdruppels vir die brandbestryders is afgelaai. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Rabie het Wian Smith, \u2019n 10-jarige seun van Sandbaai, bedank. \u201cHy het 100 worsrolletjies gemaak en vir sy pa en die Tafelronde gevra om die worsrolletjies saam met hom in Kleinmond te kom aflaai,\u201d s\u00ea Rabie. <strong><strong>Hoe kan jy betrokke raak?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Die Overstrand-munisipaliteit het aangedui dat ys, water, oogdruppels en sonblok benodig word. Ys kan by die wetstoepassers se kantoor afgelaai word. Die stadsaal se kombuis open 11:00 om as afsetpunt vir alles te dien. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Die munisipaliteit het ook gevra dat inwoners die agterste parkering gebruik vir aflewerings om die hoofstraat oop te hou voor die polisiekantoor en die laerskool in Kleinmond. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Geen mense word op die laerskoolterrein toegelaat nie aangesien dit as landingsplek vir die helikopters dien.<span>.<\/span> Hou <em>Hermanus Times<\/em> se Facebookblad dop vir die nuutste inligting rakende die
