Frieda Lloyd, Whale Coast Tourism Manager, says to be on the world\u2019s most loved destination list is a very big deal for the local tourism industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis achievement is attributed to the collective effort of our businesses and individuals working hard to make Hermanus work for all,\u201d she said. \u201cThe world has noticed the beautification of town, public art on display, hanging flower baskets and the many events organised.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Annelie Rabie, Mayor of the Overstrand, said: \u201cWell done, Hermanus! I am pleased to see the town and the Western Cape (Knysna #19, Stellenbosch #23, Cape Town #54) claims three places in the Top 50. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHermanus continues to be seen as a sought-after location for visitors, and is one of the best places worldwide to holiday, work and stay in.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lloyd says the \u201cI Love Hermanus\u201d campaign has officially evolved to \u201cThe World Loves Hermanus\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith other favourite local destinations Knysna, Stellenbosch and Cape Town,\u201d she said, \u201cHermanus is in excellent company on this coveted list that will have travellers updating their bucket list destinations. The list considers peer to peer digital conversations and emphasises the importance of word of mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
