During crime prevention and road policing patrols last week, Overstrand Municipality\u2019s K9 and Task Team continued to reap positive results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The team was patrolling the R43 near the Vermont traffic lights when they noticed a suspicious looking bakkie driving in the direction of Hermanus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The same bakkie was recognised during a previous operation, prompting them to stop and search it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They discovered 11 bags of dagga hidden in a bag. The female driver was arrested and taken to the Hermanus Police where a case docket was registered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In another unrelated incident, unit members spotted a young adult male with school clothes on, standing idling near Ghost Town in Mount Pleasant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They approached the young man and he said that he had dagga bankies on him and that he is selling it for a friend at a school in Hawston. He then took the officers to the friend where they found more dagga zols, a scale and cash. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
