The police are requesting the public\u2019s assistance after a hitchhiker was robbed on the N2 between Somerset West and Grabouw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police reports state the incident occurred on Friday 17 March, at 15:50, when a man on the roadside seeking a lift to Grabouw managed to get a white Mercedes-Benz to stop. The driver told him he was heading in that direction too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThree males then threatened the victim and robbed him of his money, cellphone and clothes,\u201d said Sergeant Suzan Jantjies, spokesperson for Somerset West police. \u201cNo arrests have been made.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police asks anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Detective Sergeant Wayne Henderson on 021 850 1302. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
