According to the Municipal Manager, Dean O\u2019Neill, no successful bids were received and it was decided to cancel the Baboon Management Tender for the 2023-\u201924 financial year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Overstrand Municipality decided to extend the contract of the current service provider, Human Wildlife Solutions, until 7 December 2024, for the Hermanus area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFor the Pringle Bay, Betty\u2019s Bay and Kleinmond area (Western Region) the municipality will implement the baboon-management programme to steer the baboons out of the urban area, with the focus on the current early warning and also waste management and public education,\u201d O\u2019Neill said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA total of 32 people will be operating in the Western area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
