Eight of the finalists are based in the Overstrand. Its municipality\u2019s Portfolio Chair for Investment, Infrastructure and Tourism, Councillor Clinton Lerm welcomed the news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overstrand businesses on the list of finalists are Mosaic Lagoon Lodge in Stanford (Best Hotel category), Char\u2019d in Hermanus (Best Date Night Restaurant category), Fatbike Tours in De Kelders and Shark Lady Adventures in Gansbaai (Best Adventure Experience category), Moody Lagoon at Benguela Cove (Best Family Restaurant category), De Uijlenes in Gansbaai (Best Wedding Venue category) and Ou Meul in both the Best Bakery and Best Farm Stall categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ou Meul Bakery opened its first branch in Riviersonderend and now has branches in various towns including Stanford and Botrivier. Joubertsdal Country Estate in Swellendam was also nominated in the Best Wedding Venue category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Theewaterskloof municipal district boasts the following finalists: Greyton, which was crowned as the 2021 Kw\u00eala Dorp van die Jaar, in the Best Dorpie category, Old Mac Daddy Luxury Trailer Park outside Grabouw in the Best Hotel category, Elgin Railway Market in the Best Market category and Houw Hoek and Peregrine Farm Stalls in the Best Farm Stall category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Elgin Railway Market was crowned winner of the Best Market in 2022, while Houw Hoek Farm Stall was crowned the Best Farm Stall in 2021 and 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
