Nege maande nadat De Necker van Schalkwyk in Rotaryweg beroof en vermoor is, het sy vermeende moordenaar uiteindelik die eerste keer in die streekhof verskyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die saak teen Sandile Lumatha, wat slegs van De Necker se moord aangekla is, is egter verlede Donderdag (25 Julie) in die Hermanus-streekhof op versoek van sy regshulp-prokureur tot 14 Augustus uitgestel. Die rede vir die uitstel was sodat sy afskrifte van die dossier kan ontvang en bestudeer en met haar kli\u00ebnt kan konsulteer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lumatha is Dinsdag 10 Oktober 2023 in hegtenis geneem nadat \u2019n getuie die polisie ingelig het dat hy met \u2019n groot bedrag geld en \u2019n vuurwapen gesien is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twee mans \u2013 Michael Kwaki en Simnikiwe Siyabonga Ntonga \u2013 is in hegtenis geneem en van die onwettige besit van \u2019n vuurwapen en ammunisie sowel as die besit van gesteelde goedere aangekla nadat Lumatha volgens berigte beweer het dat hulle hom van di\u00e9 goedere beroof het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Van Schalkwyk se liggaam is Woensdag 11 Oktober verlede jaar in Rotaryweg gevind, \u2019n kort ent van waar sy bakkie die vorige dag gevind is tydens \u2019n soektog na hom nadat hy as vermis aangemeld is toe hy nie teruggekeer het huis toe nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hy het \u2019n enkele skietwond gehad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Borgtog van R500 elk is aan Kwaki en Ntonga toegestaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pyn<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Lumatha, wat van \u2019n skedule-6-misdryf (moord met voorbedagte rade) aangekla is, se aansoek om borgtog is egter afgekeur en hy is steeds in aanhouding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die feit dat die saak teen haar seun se vermeende moordenaar al telkemale uitgestel en nog nie afgehandel is nie, s\u00ea Adri de Necker, is uitmergelend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die feit dat Lumatha tydens sy borgtogaansoek beweer het dat Van Schalkwyk hom glo geld aangebied het om hom te vermoor, veroorsaak ook verdere pyn en onsekerheid vir sy geliefdes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
