This event will take place on 16 October, from 17:00 to 19:00, at Thusong Hall in Hawston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis talk will provide valuable insights into the project, which covers all aspects of the Onrus River system, from the mountains to the sea,\u201d said the Municipal Manager, Dean O\u2019Neill. \u201cIt includes the upper catchment (De Bos Dam), the middle catchment (Onrus Peatland Wetland), and the lower catchment (Estuary). In addition the management interventions, included in the proposed MMP, will be discussed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the Onrus River Palmiet Peatland gained attention after the severe fires that affected the Overstrand in January 2019, particularly the smoldering areas near the Camphill School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is home to many wetlands, such as the Paddavlei in Hawston, the Bass Lake systems in Betty\u2019s Bay, the Mill Stream wetland system in Stanford, the Kleinmond-Lamloch Botriver wetlands and the Onrus
