Esther se verhaal was openhartig, aangrypend, emosioneel en inspirerend. Dit was duidelik dat haar sterk geloof haar deur hierdie moeilike reis gedra het. Dit was ook \u2019n verhaal van hoop, want Esther het beklem\u00adtoon dat daar altyd hoop is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naomi Philander van KANSA het \u2019n insiggewende praatjie oor borskanker gelewer. Sy het verskillende soorte borskanker bespreek, die simptome daarvan en die belangrikheid van gereelde maandelikse selfondersoeke van die borste beklemtoon. Borskanker is die mees algemene soort kanker onder Suid-Afrikaanse vroue, gevolg deur servikale kanker, kolorektale kanker, kanker van die baarmoeder en longkanker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naomi het ook voorbeelde van gebreide borste gewys wat gebruik kan word deur vroue wat \u2019n mastektomie ondergaan het voordat hulle rekonstruk\u00adtiewe chirurgie kry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yvette Herbst, assistent\u00addirekteur van biblioteekdienste, het die kers van hoop aangesteek en daarna spontaan haar verhaal van kolorektale kanker met die gaste gedeel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wildene Bosman het sangitems gelewer en Gerhard van Wyk van die biblioteek en twee YeBoneers van die biblioteek het \u2019n inspirerende dans opgevoer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaste kon van KANSA se aanbod vir borsondersoeke gebruik maak en Right to Care, \u2019n gesondheidsorganisasie sonder winsbejag, het bloeddrukmetings en suikertoetse aangebied.
