Die man wat aangekla word van \u2019n gewelddadige aanval op \u2019n vrou van Hawston, Bianca Adonis sal tot Maandag 11 November in aanhouding bly voordat sy borgtogaansoek voortgaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Denver du Plessis van Hawston het Maandag (4 November) op aanklagte van poging tot moord, alternatiewelik aanranding met die doel om ernstig te beseer, en kwaadwillige saakbeskadiging in die Hermanus-landdroshof verskyn. Sy borgtogaansoek het Woensdag 30 Oktober begin toe sy regshulp-prokureur, wat \u2019n be\u00ebdigde verklaring van hom waarin hy onder meer erken dat hy \u2019n vorige veroordeling vir moord het, in die rekord ingelees het. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In die verklaring het hy aangevoer dat hy Adonis uit sy erf gestoot het nadat sy \u2019n steuring veroorsaak het. Hy het die hof ook versoek om hom op borgtog vry te laat en beweer hy is sy familie se enigste broodwinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die staat het aangedui synde Du Plessis van \u2019n Skedule 5-misdryf aangekla word, word sy borgtogaansoek teengestaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Du Plessis se vrou, Amanda, het ook getuig oor die gebeure wat aanleiding gegee het tot die aanval waarin Adonis aangerand en na bewering ook vol petrol gegooi is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens Amanda het sy wakker geword toe Adonis \u2019n klip deur die venster, waaronder sy op die rusbank gel\u00ea en slaap het, gegooi het. Sy het getuig sy weet nie wat daarna gebeur het nie aangesien sy n\u00e1 die gebeure by haar niggie gaan slaap het en die volgende dag van haar man se inhegtenisneming uitgevind het terwyl sy by die werk was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klip<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Adonis het in \u2019n vorige onderhoud aan Hermanus Times<\/em> erken sy het \u2019n klip deur die ruit gegooi nadat Du Plessis haar na bewering hardhandig weggejaag het toe sy vir hom \u2019n sigaret gevra het. Volgens Adonis het sy, nadat sy winkel toe gestap het, teruggekeer om Du Plessis om verskoning te vra vir die voorval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sy het ges\u00ea hy wou nie na haar luister nie en het haar van agter af met \u2019n groot baksteen of klip teen die kop gegooi terwyl sy met sy dogter in \u2019n struweling betrokke was. Hy het na bewering ook petrol oor Adonis uitgegooi voordat sy daarin kon slaag om weg te kom. Adonis het beserings aan haar bors, arms en been opgedoen en moes ook steke in haar kop kry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By haar huis aangekom, het sy ontdek dat al haar ruite deur vermoedelik Du Plessis uitgegooi is en dat hy na bewering petrol om haar huis uitgegooi het. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nes met Du Plessis se vorige hofverskynings het \u2019n groot groep inwoners van Hawston Maandag weer opgedaag om die slagoffer te ondersteun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die raadslid, Elnora Gillion, wat ook Maandag by die hof was, s\u00ea hoewel enigeen om borgtog aansoek kan doen, voel die gemeenskap dis beter dat die beskuldigde nie op borgtog vrygelaat word nie omdat hy na bewering \u2019n geskiedenis van gewelddadige gedrag het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBianca en haar kinders is reeds erg getraumatiseer en as die beskuldigde op borgtog vrygelaat word, sal dit hulle nog meer traumatiseer, al gaan hy by \u2019n alternatiewe adres in Mount Pleasant woon,\u201d het Gillion ges\u00ea. \u201cEk wil die gemeenskap weer eens bedank vir hul ondersteuning aan Bianca by die hof. Die gemeenskap ken sy geskiedenis en weet tot watter gewelddadige gedrag hy in staat is as mense hom \u2018cross<\/em>\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adonis se suster, Ilse de Villiers, s\u00ea Du Plessis het voorheen \u2019n boete betaal nadat sy \u2019n klagte teen hom aangemeld het na hy haar na bewering met \u2019n vurk probeer steek en met klippe gegooi het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
