Altogether 42 teams from Hermanus joined the Hermanus Bowling Club\u2019s Business League tournament from 10 to 21 February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis year we are happy to announce we have a headline sponsor and the tournament is called Seeff HBC Business League 2025,\u201d one of the organisers said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe aim of this tournament is to promote the sport of bowls solely for the business fraternity in the Hermanus\/Overberg region and to foster an atmosphere that encourages business networking and social awareness in the greater Hermanus area. We also want to motivate interest among participants, which is conducive to increasing club membership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first round of this competition was based on a draw by the skips or team managers, and round 2 and 3 were based on pitting strength against strength. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAfter the results of first, second and third rounds had been determined the teams were divided into three divisions competing on strength versus strength.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The prizes were also attractive, with the first three teams in a division receiving prize money and gold, silver and bronze ribbon awards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The winner of a division also received a trophy, one among other trophies, which included the Conrad Oosthuisen Spirit Trophy and the KVV du Plooy Rising Star Trophy, which was given to the team that showed the most improvement year on year or a brand new team that surprised all with their first performance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
