Volgens hom is die heinings wat die buurte van die R43 skei in 2024 vir ontwikkeling verwyder en nooit weer opgerig nie. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Ek glo nie padtekens is die antwoord nie; ek dink &#8216;n heining sal die beste werk,&#8221; het hy ges\u00ea.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;n Inwoner van Grabouw het vroeg in Maart &#8216;n noue ontkoming gehad toe &#8216;n perd voor hom ingehardloop het. Ek sal die wrak nou seker vir &#8216;n appel en &#8216;n ei moet verkoop,&#8221; het Lourens ges\u00ea.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hy beklemtoon hy is gelukkig dat hy en sy vriendin nie ernstig beseer is in die botsing teen die perd nie, maar wil graag weet waarom is daar nie kennisgewingborde op die R43 om padgebruikers teen die wilde perde te waarsku nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Overstrand-munisipaliteit het ook bevestig dat die diere op die R43 vir hulle &#8216;n probleem is. &#8220;Ons doen &#8216;n beroep op inwoners om hul diere in hul erf te hou en ons doen &#8216;n beroep op padgebruikers om by die spoedbeperking te hou,&#8221; het die OM ges\u00ea. &#8220;Ons is dankbaar dat ons saam met CapeNature kan werk om toe te sien dat die R43 vir padgebruikers veilig is.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Muneera Allie van die Wes-Kaapse mobiliteitsdepartement s\u00ea diere op openbare paaie bly &#8216;n probleem en dit is nie net op die R43 nie, maar ook op die N2 naby Grabouw en Sir Lowryspas. <br>&#8220;Omheinings kan &#8216;n antwoord wees, maar dit word afgebreek \u2013 soms nog dieselfde dag as wat dit opgerig word.
