Die staptog is nie speletjies nie en jy moet fiks wees, verduidelik Ronel van Zyl, wat jare lank die voorsitter was. Die groep is in Hermanus gesetel en die huidige voorsitters is Tamara Stofberg en Jennie Vorster. Ronel is &#8216;n afgetrede arbeidsterapeut en verduidelik elke vrou moes R3 000 vir die roete betaal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Ons is &#8216;n organisasie sonder winsoogmerk en versamel geld vir liefdadigheid soos dieresorg, die Hermanus Senior Sentrum en Silwerjare in. Die hospies is ook &#8216;n gereelde begunstigde \u2013 een van meer as 30 instansies wat hierdie groep uithalervroue jaarliks finansieel bystaan. Sedert die aanvang van hul epiese ekspedisies 21 jaar gelede het hulle reeds &#8216;n verstommende R9,6 miljoen ingesamel,&#8221; verklap Ronel met &#8216;n sweempie trots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Elke vrou wat jy hier sien, is &#8216;n ligstraal en insamelaar. Elkeen het haar eie netwerk en samel ook op haar eie geld in. Ons l\u00ea tot 18 kilometer per dag af en dra ons eie water, koeldrank en kougoed saam. Die terrein is die grootste uitdaging, want ons roete strek oor sandduine, fynbos en rotsagtige strande. Marjo Meyer en Marion Verbrugge, &#8216;n w\u00eareldbekende musikus, voorberei is. Jeremy en sy vrou, Marlene, se verbintenis met die Suidpunt strek terug oor 26 jaar en niemand kon die toehoorders meer vertel oor die besienswaardighede wat die dapper stappers op hul roete sal te\u00ebkom nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Met die ondersteuning van staatmakers soos Alphia Schutte en haar span is die Voorslag Vuurtoring-vroue se toekoms vir die volgende 21 jaar
